Caesarean Section

Smith v Sheridan High Court 14/04/2005

A consultant obstetrician used execessive force when using forceps to deliver a baby during a caesarean section. This caused bleeding and damage to the baby's brain. The court accepted that there was no other reasonable explanation for the baby's brain damage.
